Symposium fees

The symposium fees (incl. VAT 24%) are:

• Members of the Finnish Association of Translators and Interpreters (SKTL): 50€
• Non-members: 100€
• Doctoral researchers: 50€
• BA or MA students: 25€

Payment methods

The participation fee is payed online when registering for the syposium.

Symposium dinner

The symposium dinner (at own expense) is on Friday 17 April at 7 p.m. at Local Bistro. During the dinner, we will also hear greetings from and enjoy the hospitality of the city of Joensuu. The dinner (€45) is paid upon symposium registration, and the registration is binding. You can find the menu below (scroll down for English).

Training event for PhD researchers 16 April

A pre-symposium training event for doctoral students will be organised on Thursday, 16 April 2026, in collaboration with the Langnet network, the UEF FILOTO Doctoral Programme, and the International Doctorate in Translation Studies network (ID-TS). The topic of the session is What to do when plans go wrong?. The programme consists of a panel discussion and a text seminar for doctoral researchers in Translation Studies.

The event is organised in English.
