POSTGRADUATE STUDENT EVENT: “POPULARIZATION OF RESEARCH AND GRANT FUND APPLICATIONS”, 16 April 2020, 12-16

A postgraduate student training event will be held on Thursday 16 April 2020 (the day before the Symposium proper) at 12–16 o’clock. The theme of the event is popularizing research and applying for grant funding. This event is organized in co-operation with the Langnet network and is funded by a Kopiosto grant from the Finnish Association of Translators and Interpreters. The training event includes a workshop on writing research plans, as well as two presentations, given by specialists in the field. In order to participate, submitting a research plan for commentary prior to the event is required. The research plans will then be reviewed by experienced researches and fellow postgraduate students. Although this event is aimed primarily at postgraduate students, anyone interested is welcome to attend.

The working languages of the event are Finnish and English. The presentations are held in Finnish, but discussion can be held both in Finnish and in English. The language of the pre-submitted research plan can be either Finnish, Swedish, or English.
