On Thursday, 11 April (the day before the KäTu symposium starts) Langnet (the Finnish national network for PhD training in language studies) and ID-TS will organize a text seminar. The event is mostly intended for doctoral students but others can also apply.

Application for text seminar
A maximum of 12 participants will be accepted into the seminar. Selection will be based on the applicant’s research topic and its relevance to Translation Studies. Applicants will be sent a mail in February-March concerning acceptance and preparation for the text seminar.
Prior to the seminar, accepted participants will be asked to submit a text (a draft chapter, article, research plan etc.) of approximately 10 pages, which will then be discussed in the workshop part of the seminar. The languages of the text seminar are Finnish and English.
